Soap that doesn't foam up. Baking soda would prob do nicely too.Are there any household items (besides laundry detergent) you can use to wash your clothes?
Washing up liquid can be good for removing stains or as an alternative to detergent for the odd item if you run out of washing powder, just make sure you are not allergic and don't use too much.
You can use a mild bleach solution on white items that are heavily stained, use a small amount of bleach disolved in a large amount of water and patch test first.
yes you can either use laundry soap - grate it and mix up with some hot water to dissolve and add to the machine
Dishwashing detergent or hair shampoo is also fine - anything that cleans should be ok as long as it is not caustic or dangerous
Add some white vinegar to rinse and deodorise your clothes and to remove any soap/detergent left in rinse
I use Suave shampoo all the time.Use about 1 tablespoon.Too much laundry soap actually helps break down the fabric of most clothes.I do use fabric softner but only 1/2 of whats recomended. My clothes are clean, smell fresh and all look new.J
