How many article of each clothing do you wash in one load of laundry ?

well , i do denim in one load , then cotton ( and everything else) in another load . so my loads is usually a lot of underwear , all the shirts i have worn ( usually 8 or so shirts in a week - not including what i wore to church on sunday ) all my pjs , socks and etc .
so if i wait a extra week to do my laundry - maybe 16 shirts ?
