Is it possible to wash shoes in the laundry machine?

So i have these all white vans and they get dirty wicked easily and i want all the dirt stains to get washed away but i dont want to have to keep bleaching them because it takes forever. Im wondering if i could wash them in the laundry machine so that theyll come out clean. can i? thanks! oh and if it wont ruin them or something how much water should i put in and how much detergent or bleach? Is it possible to wash shoes in the laundry machine?
Washing is ok, it's the drying that ruins them. The heat loosens the glue that holds the sole on and will curl the shoes. You have to dry them quick especially if you live in a mildewy place like Florida or they will stink. I dry mine on low for a long time so it doesn't get the shoes to hot.Is it possible to wash shoes in the laundry machine?
I have washed my %26amp; my hubby's tennis shoes in the washer. These are brands like New Balance %26amp; Nike (leather %26amp; pleather). I just throw them in with a bit of regular clothes and set the washer for either permanent press or the cotton setting. If you are washing whites (or your vans are too dirty) then add bleach also. Another trick you can try is to soak the vans first in a bucket of detergent with bleach (a couple of hours), then place them in the washer again. Once they are done washing, you can place them in the sun to dry, or on top of your dryer while other clothes dries and the heat will help them dry.
yes wash it like you would with clothes
