Is it safe to add essential oils to your laundry in the wash machine?

Meaning...is it safe for your clothes and safe for your skin?Is it safe to add essential oils to your laundry in the wash machine?
I,ve used essential oils with the Downey Balls.I simply add oil [Not Much!] on a piece of gauze place it in the ball, close tight and toss it in the dryer.Clothes come out with your favorite scent and makes the smell great..

Try to find Pure Esscents ,Alot on the market are mainly carrier oils with just alittle actual esscents which is basically jojoba-olive-almond etc and They tend to Turn Rancid smelling with heat.

Why don,t you check this out ~Brian will give the Facts on any oil related issue/questions you have.:

Why would you want to add oil to your laundry? That's totally defeating the purpose. Use scented laundry detergents, or even damp a paper towel with some and use that in the dryer, just don't ruin your clothes with essential oil...
It is safe, but a bad idea: most of the oil will get washed away by the detergent, and that which doesn't will make a mess of the clothes.
use fabreeze powder and softner smells soooo nice
